There are two things that set The Jim Cummings Band apart from other good regional bands. The first is, every member of JCB is a true master of his instrument. From a technical, pure musicianship point of view, each of these guys is the definition of a musician's musician.

The Music

The Jim Cummings Band has released three albums. If you've listened to them, you know this isn't a one-genre outfit. At the core of most of the music is a funk/blues feel, but the stylistic circle around that core is a broad one.

JCB also Isn't a one-set outfit. While most of the band's dates are concerts and festivals, they do play an occasional bar. Which means they have lots of material. Which means you can, to some extent, tailor the performance to your crowd.

Want Blues and nothin' but blues? You got it. What a healthy helping of R&B and funk? Done. A few covers? No problem. A good 'ol polka or two? Don't push your luck!
