Singer and pianist Janice Lakers has just returned to the Kalamazoo area after a long absence. She was a member of the well-known area band, Sweet Maya, in the 70’s, then moved away to pursue her musical career in both Seattle and The Netherlands.

She has recorded 4 CD’s with various jazz formations, all Dutch musicians. As well as her strong jazz leanings, Lakers’ also performs classic pop tunes. She has had much experience blending her vocal and piano work into restaurant and reception settings.
