No one knows music like a musician

Rich Burkholder has been a full time professional musician for the last ten years.  He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and returned to the West Michigan area in 1996.  In the last 10 years he has performed over 2500 shows at clubs, festivals, and private engagements.  His current schedule is six shows each week.  He also teaches 40 guitar students weekly.

Rich has diversified his business to include a multitude of services.  In addition to DJ-ing, Rich does solo performances (guitar/voice), has his own band (Oregon Dreamchild – see band section of this website), and hosts Open Mic & Karaoke nights.  Rich owns a live sound reinforcement company and recording studio.

Rich is able to provide any combination of these services.  He has sung for wedding ceremonies and DJ’d their receptions.  He has played Live Band / DJ receptions.  He has even done combination DJ / Karaoke receptions.  Rich can provide multiple sound system setups.  There are many possibilities to fit your event perfectly.

Nothing is more important than personality and judgement

Rich believes that being a great DJ is much more than being a joking mp3 player.  It involves reading the audience and the event.  It means having the best equipment possible.  And most importantly, it means having a great personality that provides the proper interaction for the situation.

Rich’s music collection is endless.   He will provide the selection of music the client wants.   Rich will meet with the client to discuss details to insure that everything goes off flawlessly.  Rich will turn a good event into a spectacular one.
